just because you’re an apple fanboy doesn’t mean a phone with significantly less features, hardwired memory, and un-changable batteries that happens to be the most expensive is a wise choice.
edit: “but it’s so pretttyy.” uhh. not when you stuff a huge ass otterbox around it.
I am considering getting a droid but I am a little hesitant. To be honest I couldn’t care less about it being open source or higher performance, as long as it makes calls/texts and I can check my email it doesn’t any difference. I’m not buying a phone to replace my computer. After over two years with my iphone I am just now starting to have issues. That said I can get a droid for much less money, which is really the only reason I am considering it.
“As Deepak Chopra taught us, quantum physics means anything can happen at any time for no reason. Also, eat plenty of oatmeal and animals never had a war. Who’s the real animals?”—Professor Farnsworth (via petrellica)
They are a diverse population with diverse lives and diverse problems. And if they choose to use the fucking Kardashians as their safety valve that doesn’t make them stupid.
It also doesn’t mean they don’t fucking care about the ‘real issues’. What it means is that their priorities might be *shock* different than yours. Like, getting their kids new shoes, and finding a way to keep themselves solvent, and their mortgages afloat, and god fucking forbid they aren’t up until 5 AM researching the defense budget.
Because correct me if I’m fucking wrong, but the whole point of a representative government is to elect people to WATCH OVER THAT SHIT FOR YOU. They were elected, based on what they told you, to take care of shit in congress and in the house so you could take care of your own job and your own children and your own damn house. Sort of the same way you hire a plumber to do your plumbing or a mechanic to fix your car instead of doing it yourself? Because that is their specialty that they have been trained in and no one person can be or should be expected to know the inner mechanics of every single fucking profession all the time and that includes the extremely complicated world of politics.
“There’s a disconnect because they want a disconnect. When you want to read the book, come read the book. When you want to come talk to me and be my friend, come talk to me. They want that disconnect. They want to seclude themselves. The generation gap, they don’t want to understand.”—
